About Grandma’s Kidz Childcare Center
Grandma’s Kidz Childcare Center, a full-day child care center, is a North Carolina LLC, directed and run by Michealyn Janiga.
Michaelyn Janiga started her career at the State University of New York College at Buffalo, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Exceptional Education. After teaching emotionally disturbed children for 3 years, she changed her focus and started teaching children with Autism. After receiving her Master’s in Educational Administration, she continued teaching special education for a total of 7 years. It was at this time she decided to have children of her own and wanted to put her time and effort into raising her children. Her family relocated to Harrisburg, NC where she was a stay-at-home mom 4 years prior to opening the daycare. She was the director of the daycare for 12 years. Michaelyn now holds a Level III North Carolina Early Childhood Administrative credential.
Danielle Rivera
Danielle Rivera is a dedicated early childhood education professional who currently serves as a Director, where she is passionate about creating nurturing environments that support the growth and development of young children. Danielle has worked in the childcare field since 2017, bringing years of experience, leadership, and a deep commitment to helping young learners thrive.
Danielle has been a valued member of Grandma’s Kidz since 2021, where she continues to support both children and educators by fostering a positive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Known for her hardworking and dedicated approach, she strives to build strong educational foundations that support children’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
Danielle earned her Bachelor’s degree in Music Education from Catawba College in 2016. She also holds a Level III North Carolina Early Childhood Administrative Credential, demonstrating her expertise in early childhood program leadership and administration. In 2023, Danielle became a mother, an experience that further strengthened her passion for early childhood development and deepened her understanding of the importance of high-quality care and education for young children.
Through her work, she remains committed to supporting educators, partnering with families, and ensuring meaningful learning experiences for every child. Driven by her passion for helping children grow and succeed, Danielle continues to dedicate her career to making a lasting impact in early childhood education.

$10 for the second child plus one week of daycare is to be applied when you start.
